SAN VITO PIZZERIa
logo design & brand identity

Project Overview
San Vito is a pizzeria in Beckenham, owned by Vito, who wanted a logo that would reflect both his Italian heritage and passion for pizza. The goal was to create a unique and meaningful brand identity that would stand out while staying true to the restaurant’s cultural roots.
Design Approach
Inspired by maiolica, a traditional hand-painted ceramic tile symbolic of the Sicilian city where Vito’s family originates,
I developed a design that embodies craftsmanship and authenticity. To reinforce the Italian essence, I vectorized the artwork and incorporated the colors of the Italian flag and the iconic Pizza Margherita.
While the initial concept was well-received, we wanted to ensure the design felt like a restaurant logo rather than a tile pattern. To achieve this, we strategically cut a triangle shape into the artwork, transforming it into a pizza slice, which enhanced its relevance to the brand.
Final Branding Solution
The finalized logo successfully balanced tradition and modernity, creating a strong visual identity for San Vito. The design was applied across multiple brand touchpoints, including:
-
Restaurant signage
-
Employee uniforms
-
Business stationary
-
Truck signage
-
Menu
-
Packaging
Ongoing Support
Beyond the logo design, I provided additional brand consultation to ensure consistency across all marketing materials. This included refining digital and print assets to maintain a cohesive brand presence. The logo continues to serve as a recognizable and authentic emblem of San Vito’s rich Italian roots and dedication to quality.
